Plant Features

Raspberry Sundae Peony is a stunning variety of peony with lush, bright pink petals that have a raspberry hue. The plant produces a profusion of flowers in late spring and early summer. The blooms are large and fragrant, making them perfect for bouquets and cut flower arrangements. The foliage is dark green and the stems are strong and upright. This variety is an excellent choice for the garden, making it a great addition for any landscape. Rspberry Sundae ships as a bare root. We like growing from bare roots because they establish quickly, become twice the size of a potted plant in the first season, and eliminate the need for plastic pots (a win for the environment).

Peony Companion Plants: flowering bulbs, succulents, hostas, iris, foxglove, roses, hydrangea

Raspberry Sundae Peony Plant Care: These beauties thrive on neglect; however, there are some things you should consider. Only water if the foliage starts to wilt. Do not apply mulch. Fertilize when its first transplanted and then every 3 years. Use hoops to support the heavy blooms. When taking cut flowers or deadheading, leave at least 3 leaf stems under the cut. Ants and peonies go hand it hand, so do not be alarmed when you see them on the plants. Stalks can be cut back to the grown in early winter or in early spring before the new stalks appear
