Plant Features

Silver Moon Clematis brings huge, lavender colored blooms to the landscape in early summer, with a second bloom in late summer. Deadhead right after the first flowering to encourage a second round. The 4 to 6 inch, star shaped flowers have the best color when protected from the heat. It does well with a thick mulch around the roots. Pruning is not necessary unless it being done for shaping. Never prune more than 1/3 back.
