Snowy Igloo is a member of the Igloo series of chrysanthemums with a dome-shaped habit that flowers profusely starting in their first year. These plants are covered in white decorative flowers with a creamy center and are an improvement over the 'Frosty Igloo' variety, with a larger plant habit and no pinking of the blooms. They bloom from early fall until frost and do not need pinching. The mums have a domed habit with a height of up to 2 feet and a width of 2.5 feet and are winter hardy down to zone 5. They make a beautiful addition to the garden with their white flowers and creamy centers.
Snowy Igloo Perennial Mum Plant Care Instructions: Keep plants moist and well feed. A weekly application of a water soluble fertilizer works best. Snip off any flowers that start blooming early. When the flowers start showing color in the fall, stop fertilizing. Continue to keep the plants moist. After the first hard frost, the plant can be cut back to the ground. A heavy application of mulch is beneficial.
