Songbird Blue Bird Aquilegia offer some of the showiest, large blue and white bicolored, upwards facing blooms you will find. Flowers measure 3 inches! Columbines are easy to grow and thrive in moist, well-drained soils. Full sun is okay in northern gardens; afternoon shade is preferred in southern gardens. Well suited to cottage gardens, at woodland edges, and are excellent in containers and as cut flowers. Aquilegia attracts hummingbirds and butterflies while deer and rabbit tend to avoid it.

Companion Planting: Digitalis, Euphorbia, Geranium, Hemerocallis, Hosta

My song bird is taking flight.. can't wait for blooms..as long as you have good drainage and sun light..you will be amazed..my songbird is almost 18" tall and ready to bloom.
