Strawberry Seduction Achillea features clusters of velvety red flowers atop green fern-like foliage with a thick, compact habit. The Seduction series of yarrow performs exceptionally well in hot, humid areas and tolerates drought and salt. The tiny flowers attract bees and butterflies, while the dried seeds appeal to wild birds. Deer and rabbits tend to leave it alone.
Common Names: yarrow, old man's pepper, devil's nettle, sanguinary, milfoil, soldier's woundwort, thousand seal
Achillea Companion Plants: Dahlia, Eryngium, Hemerocallis, Ornamental Grasses, Phlox, Phygelius, Rudbeckia, Saliva
Strawberry Seduction Achillea Plant Care: Keep the plant well-watered for the first 4-5 weeks. After that, only water if the plant starts looking droopy. They are not picky about the soil type if it is well drained. Plants can be thinned if they become too dense. Because yarrow does not die back completely in the winter, wait till spring to remove any old dead growth. In order to maintain its vigor, plants should be divided every 3-5 years.
