Viticella Betty Corning Clematis Plants bring fragrant, small blooms in soothing shades of pale violet from early summer to frost. First discovered growing in Albany in 1932, choose this clematis for an easy growing vining plant that is more compact than most, growing to about 5 feet tall. In northern gardens, it will do best in full sun but prefer lightly shaded areas in southern gardens. Pruning is not needed unless done for shaping purposes.
